I am Alissa, The SoupHugger.
At The SoupHug , I believe that food is not just about nourishing the body, but also the soul.
That's why I put so much care and attention into every soup I make.
I use fresh (local, when possible) ingredients & every SoupHug has a heaping helping of love.
For every pot of soup I make
I eat some.
I give some away.
Sometimes to a friend.
Sometimes to a neighbor.
Sometimes to a stranger.
Who needs a SoupHug?
You. do. We all do. Or you can buy a SoupHug for someone in need.
It's a warm, yummy, healthy and delicious soup.
As a child, I felt so much love whenever we had soup.
It always felt like a warm hug and you could just feel the love.
My favorite SoupHugs to make remind me of my childhood- Chicken Vegetable Noodle and Minestrone.
My Mom and Grandma made them for me and then I made them for my daughter Ella and so many of my friends and loves.
What your favorite SoupHug?
Please let me know. I'd love to create a new SoupHug recipe for you or make your favorite kind of soup.
Pre-Ordering is now open for the next SoupHug pick up which will be on Thursday, August 1st at Freight from 5-6:00PM.
You can pick up your soup and stay for LIVE music from High Lonesome. We are stoked!
Choose from a new recipe: Sweet Potato, Carrot, Ginger Curry with Lentils or the SoupHug favorite Grandma Colucci's Minestrone!
In the future, I plan to deliver soup to friends and neighbors and local business owners on Harrison for lunch...sometimes on foot, sometimes by bicycle...and if needed by car.

And I am stoked as I am starting to donate SoupHugs to local charity and community events and that simply makes me happy.
These are always on the stove but I can make almost any kind of Soup you want. I always use gluten free noodles and usually do not use any dairy.
SoupHugs are love. SoupHugs are good. (Not so subliminal message) You need a SoupHug.
